Thanks, Amanda. When I started looking through the list, I wasn’t sure how I’d limit it to just 10! There are so many out there trying to help young ladies be modest now!

Looks like a nice site! Do you have any banner ads worked up? Something that could be used to advertise your site?

    Hi!

Thanks for getting the word out about great modest clothing sites. I, too, was surprised and excited to find that there were so many springing up out there. In fact, I was so excited about the possibility of beautiful, stylish, modest clothing that I started my own online boutique. Check it out and let me know what you think: http://www.sakurarose.com.

    Thanks, Jessica

Hey Jessica, thanks for dropping by and sharing the link with us!

I’ll need to do another edition of this list at some point in time focusing on those that have started up their own business.

Do you have any advertising graphics that could be used to advertise your site?

    Hi there,

What a wonderful list of online modest clothing sites. I too wish to see more modest clothing avalible for teens and women. I also have a modest clothing site. It’s http://www.sierrabrooke.com We pride ourselves in offering modest yet stylish clothes for women. Modest clothing is not easily found these days and I’m happy to see there are more site out there for us women.

Thanks for the link, Shannon. It seems like you have the start of a good site there. I’d suggest you make sure that you maintain the aspect ratio when you resize the pictures and let them link to a larger size so people can check out the detail. Other than that, it’ll be exciting to see when you offer more sizes.

I would appreciate it of you would add a link to: http://www.cbformals.com/bumofofor.html
One of the problems I have found is the modest often means expensive. I am trying to change that.
For low cost gowns in general, you can go to http://www.cbformals.com
    Most under $100.00
    Thank you,

I love to see all these fun & modern yet modest lines cropping up. Since I don’t know how to sew, I have to buy things and modest is hard enough to find, but add fun & modern for tweens & teens…it’s almost impossible! One suggestion I’d like to make from a modest shopper perspective to those starting their own lines, if you are going to claim modest clothing, PLEASE be sure your models are in modest poses! Since modesty should be a lifestyle, it loses its seriousness if you use a typical model pose. Just some food for thought :) BTW, any hints or tips of the trade for some prospective 11-15 y.o.’s who want to start their own line of modestwear? THANKS!

Min, I haven’t had time to scroll through all the comments, but I just discovered a store the other day called Shade (shadeclothing.com). They specialize in extra long shirts - perfect for covering tummies and behinds. Kinda reminds me of Juliet’s shirts on Lost. :)

It also seems to be much like the giveaway we just had at Is This Modest? Thanks for the link!
