Posted by Amanda | August 16, 2007, 10:39 amThanks, Amanda. When I started looking through the list, I wasn’t sure how I’d limit it to just 10! There are so many out there trying to help young ladies be modest now!

Posted by MInTheGap | September 4, 2007, 9:20 amHi!
Thanks for getting the word out about great modest clothing sites. I, too, was surprised and excited to find that there were so many springing up out there. In fact, I was so excited about the possibility of beautiful, stylish, modest clothing that I started my own online boutique. Check it out and let me know what you think: http://www.sakurarose.com.
Thanks, Jessica

I’ll need to do another edition of this list at some point in time focusing on those that have started up their own business.
Do you have any advertising graphics that could be used to advertise your site?
Posted by MInTheGap | November 5, 2007, 12:07 pmI agree. Here is another site that I stumbled across: http://move4modesty.googlepages.com

Posted by JustLongShirts.com | January 19, 2008, 1:24 amHi there,
What a wonderful list of online modest clothing sites. I too wish to see more modest clothing avalible for teens and women. I also have a modest clothing site. It’s http://www.sierrabrooke.com We pride ourselves in offering modest yet stylish clothes for women. Modest clothing is not easily found these days and I’m happy to see there are more site out there for us women.
Posted by Shannon | April 11, 2008, 8:59 pmThanks for the link, Shannon. It seems like you have the start of a good site there. I’d suggest you make sure that you maintain the aspect ratio when you resize the pictures and let them link to a larger size so people can check out the detail. Other than that, it’ll be exciting to see when you offer more sizes.
Posted by MInTheGap | April 12, 2008, 8:44 pmThat link has changed!

Posted by Shirah Malka | July 30, 2008, 10:28 pmI would appreciate it of you would add a link to: http://www.cbformals.com/bumofofor.html
One of the problems I have found is the modest often means expensive. I am trying to change that.
For low cost gowns in general, you can go to http://www.cbformals.com
Most under $100.00
Thank you,

Posted by andrea | October 9, 2008, 9:20 amI suggest our website which contains more than 30 clothing famous brands websites.
Posted by clothing websites | November 24, 2008, 1:14 pmI love to see all these fun & modern yet modest lines cropping up. Since I don’t know how to sew, I have to buy things and modest is hard enough to find, but add fun & modern for tweens & teens…it’s almost impossible! One suggestion I’d like to make from a modest shopper perspective to those starting their own lines, if you are going to claim modest clothing, PLEASE be sure your models are in modest poses! Since modesty should be a lifestyle, it loses its seriousness if you use a typical model pose. Just some food for thought
BTW, any hints or tips of the trade for some prospective 11-15 y.o.’s who want to start their own line of modestwear? THANKS!

Posted by MInTheGap | December 8, 2008, 10:27 amMin, I haven’t had time to scroll through all the comments, but I just discovered a store the other day called Shade (shadeclothing.com). They specialize in extra long shirts – perfect for covering tummies and behinds. Kinda reminds me of Juliet’s shirts on Lost.
Posted by Rachel | December 11, 2008, 12:16 amIt also seems to be much like the giveaway we just had at Is This Modest? Thanks for the link!

Posted by Karen | December 9, 2010, 2:49 pmThis is a good list of modest stores. It is very hard to find modest clothes in just the regular stores. Most of my clothes come from Goodwill.
I hope this comment and rating counts for the #Feb2011NCAGIVEAWAY,too.
