Wednesday Tech Help

November 26th, 2006 Visited 1407 times, 1 so far today

I’d like to take a moment to introduce you to another series I’ll be starting this Wednesday called “Tech Help.  I’ve been asked a few times about what browser plugins I use for Firefox, what WordPress plugins I use and other technical questions.

I hope to use this post in the week to help other bloggers and just computer users in general pick up some tips and tricks I’ve found along my technology path.  As some of you know, I write computer software for a day job, so at times these posts my delve into the really obscure, but I hope that the general user will find something of value.

Well, coming from a technologically impaired reader, do we have to wait till Wednesday? (Just kidding…) I do plan on switching to Firefox 2.0, but was unsure if I had to uninstall FF 1.5 before doing so…and shame on me, I haven’t added Window’s Writer yet either.

I’m constantly in awe of your site and all the plug-ins and changes you keep adding/making. So yes, bring it on!

    Mary,
Just install Firefox 2.0, its smart enough to upgrade 1.5 ;-).

    MinTheGap,
Cool ;-), as a fellow geek I’m interested to know all the things you’re running here. I’m not sure what type of things you’re planning on posting on, but let me know if there is anything you’d like me to contribute.

I’m looking forward to this series too. As you can see on my blog, I occassionally post articles on such obscurities.

One might argue that such posts cause the blog to lose focus – that people read your blog for its faith-based content. But to counter that, it is being written by real people with real interests, so it helps us to get to know you better.

Looking forward to your “wordpress plugin” article. So many plugins – so little time to play with them 🙂

    Thanks,
    Stephen
