His Work Will Not End with Today

He is coming again! In the last post we talked about the fact that he left because it going to prepare a place for us so that we can go to be with Him. Therefore, He has to return to get us. This is the blessed hope of His return. This is the city that even Abraham looked for whose builder and maker is God. This is the fulfillment of the promise of eternal salvation with God and a home together with Him!

Because God is just, we also know that He is going to judge the world. Not only is He returning to receive us unto Himself, but He is going to judge the unrighteous. Those that refuse to accept as their Savior will face the consequences of their decision. He will also judge those that are His according to the works done in the flesh. The Bible talks about rewards that will be handed out for faithfully following God. There’s also the idea that some will hear from Him, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Some items done in the flesh will be considered wood, hay and stubble to be burnt, and some gold, silver and precious stones when done for Him. Lots to do!

The More Things Change

Guy with Laptop

It seems that my life is now coming around in ways that I wouldn’t have expected.  Some of you know that a little over a year and a half ago I was let go from the company for which I had worked for 10 years, and that I found a different job an hour away.  That led to a move with severance money and an adventure in a place that, though it was still close to family, was wholly different.

Personal vs. Business

OfComm Series Isn’t it amazing?  You go to multiple people, you get different answers!

As you know, I make money off blogging.  I make it in various ways, but I’m no where close to making money exclusively off blogging.

However, I’d like to have a separate account for the thing so I can manage it better.

Every time I try to ask someone how I should go about this, when the good breakpoint is, etc. I get wildly different answers—sometimes from the same person.

You would think that it would benefit banks to actually have a clear answer.

Joblessness: You Can’t Have It Both Ways

Being a software engineer, I’ve worked with computers for many years, and one of the things that I can’t stand is when, after working hours on a project, I find out the hard way that the project was not saved.  After spending all that time to get it just right, I have nothing to show for it.

You would think that I would learn!

Things Only God Can Do

When ask you what are things that only God can do, what comes to mind?

I immediately think of the big things like creating the universe, the worldwide flood, or things like moving mountains.  Things that are supernatural or things that are out of the ordinary.

The truth is that there are many things that the Bible says that only God can do, things that we can see every day, but we need to know that these things are God in action.

Should Moms Go to Work?

June 1st, 2007 Viewed 1910 times

I’ve recently been in a few places where they have asked what my wife does for an occupation.  Ever since we had our first child, she has stayed home and raised our family, and so my answer is, she works at home– and works harder than I do!

Society has tried to tell women two things over the past generation:

  1. You both have to work if you want to make ends meet
  2. You’re not a complete woman/mother if you work from home– anyone can do that.

A woman must work in order to “make ends meet”.
