Caption Contest 2 - Don’t Get Too Close!

Something caught young Molly’s attention. She was innocently minding her own business, walking by the pool when she saw something.  Was it the flowers, the serene pool, or something much more heinous?

What music do we queue?  The peaceful spring music, or the Jaws theme?

Only you know, and only you can keep her from getting closer to whatever it is she saw– because I don’t see her parents around, do you?

Want Lower Gas Prices– Stop Buying Bottled Water

Now here’s something interesting.  Guess what the main ingredient for the plastic bags at Wal-Mart, and the bottle water that you’ve been drinking.  Turns out it’s petroleum– the same thing that’s costing us more at the pump…

Bottom line, the production of 31.2 billion liters of water for the U.S. bottled water market took roughly 17.6 million barrels of oil. The calculation is explained in more detail at the Pacific Institute’s information page under the energy requirements for plastic bottles.
