Power Once Used Never Goes Back in the Box

When President Obama signaled his approval of using the Senate’s Budget Reconciliation process to push ObamaCare1 through the Senate, he is doing more than going back on statements he made about wanting this to be bipartisan.  He is doing more than misusing something that is in place for budgetary measures.

He is proposing used a tool in a way that hadn’t been done before, and setting a precedent for future generations of Presidents.

Reconciliation is More Important than Worship

As Christians, we tend to think that the most important thing we can do is to worship God.  In fact, that’s part of the response to the question of “What was I created to do?” where you’re supposed to reply, “To love and worship God forever.”

However, Christ wanted to make a point in the Sermon on the Mount about relationships, and he placed an interesting emphasis.
