Contrary to what you’re lead to believe, the election of a President is not decided on election night by news anchors with big screens contacting election headquarters.  In fact, President-Elect Obama just won the election January 8, 2009.  The vote was 365 to 173 in favor of Pres-Elect Obama over Sen. McCain.

There are many reasons that I do not envy President-Elect Barak Obama.  One of which is that I believe that he’s becoming President during one of the nation’s most trying times.  Another is that I believe he was elected because of the promises that he made during the campaign—promises that I believe he will have a hard time keeping when he’s sworn in as President.

And oh, there’s this little issue of who his supporters are and what they believe.

From the desk of “Why is this news”, the AP is reporting that the White House has told President-Elect Obama that they cannot move into the Blair House (a guest house across the street from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue) before January 15—the traditional date for President-Elects to move to Washington.
