The Pro-Abortionists Know

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Pro-Life causes took a hard hit last night.  First, the selection of Sen. Obama means that we will have a President with a 100% approval rating from NARAL.  There were also two Pro-Life Constitutional Amendments on the ballot—in Colorado and South Dakota—that were intended to challenge Roe v. Wade.

In some small way it’s good that they didn’t pass.  You would want them to pass when you have a good chance of getting it to the high court, and I’m not sure if there will be a good one in an Obama Administration.

However, buried in the AP article on all of these measures is an interesting bit of news:

Really? Obama is Our President?

bush_pres_article_large.article_large

If you believe half the things that you read on the net—at least in places that I read, you’d believe that this article (Bush: ‘Can I Stop Being President Now?’)from the Onion was true!

I don’t know how many times I’ve read someone saying that Sen. Obama is our President now, emphasis on ours, etc.  The fact is, he’s not President until he’s sworn in January 20, 2009.  This isn’t sour grapes, this is a statement of fact!

I Wish I Believed in Luck

2008_10_07t223221_450x361_us_usa_politics

Watching Fox News call both Ohio and Pennsylvania for Sen. Obama, I could remain optimistic that the Exit Polling could be wrong.  I mean, we heard all day that people were thinking of lying to the Exit Pollsters to make the media look back, and we heard that it won’t be over until the votes are counted.

But now the votes are counting, and it does indeed appear to be exactly what they were saying—that our country has decided to give control of power to the Democrats.

Predicting a McCain Win

mccain2

It’s fun to read who people think will win.  The conventional wisdom is that we’ll wake up tomorrow and Sen. Obama will be victorious.  You read some places and they say that it’ll be close or a blowout.

If you’re looking for encouragement in regards to Sen. McCain winning, here are a couple sites for you.

Vox Day may have called Hillary Clinton getting the nomination wrong1, but he’s got McCain winning.

What Is Expedient

Was2007364

There’s a verse in the New Testament where Paul makes a statement about Christian liberty.  He says that while all things may be lawful for him, only some things are expedient—some things work toward the ends of building up the saints in Christ.

Sen. Obama is saying things on different topics because of their political expediency, not because they are what he actually believes.

Political Videos

2008_10_07t223221_450x361_us_usa_politics

Well, it’s come to the weird part of the 2008 campaign.  A lot of places have already started voting.  The sermon this morning was about trusting God for the outcome—and that He is sovereign.  Many weird things are coming out, and people from the candidates on down will tell you it’s all about turnout while launching yet new attacks.

Like all elections, it matters not what the polls say, but what “the poll” says.
