Caption Contest 10 – Angry Husband

July 28th, 2008 Viewed 2139 times

Anger arguing What is he so mad about?  That’s your challenge for this week.  What is his deal, anyway?

Could it be that she forgot to make his food just the way he liked it?  Did she just get on his case for leaving the seat up again?  Did she just donate a whole bunch of his clothes to the Charity without asking?

There are many reason why we lose our cool, and many of them are really quite comical.

This should be an easy one for both the men and the ladies, as I’m sure that you could come up with the most hilarious and down right ridiculous things to throw fits over.

Or will it hit too close to home?

Caption Contest 8 – They’re Driving Me Nuts!

July 14th, 2008 Viewed 1378 times

NutsI’m sure we’ve all had these days.  And I’m sure that we can all empathize with the woman.  So, why is this particular woman trying to pull her hair out?

Better yet, why is she dressed to match the room, and why is it hard to tell whether she’s smiling or screaming?

I know that the moms out there that read this may be able to peer inside her mind.  And I’m just waiting to see what you come up with.

In any case, let us in on why you think that this woman is carrying on, and perhaps what we can do to help.

Do so in the comments section below…

Pretty Please?  Or perhaps I will have to pull my hair out?

Caption Contest 7 – Laughter

June 30th, 2008 Viewed 1283 times, 1 so far today

laughter So, here’s a crowd of people, going to see (and record) something, and they’re all laughing!

Why did they let that guy with the camera in, anyway?  Is he filming the photographer or the show?

Why are a lot of these people wearing green and sitting in green chairs?

Pick a person (like the guy with the hand to his mouth) and tell us what he’s saying– or what is everyone laughing at? Your choice!

Caption Contest 6 – Translation Needed

June 23rd, 2008 Viewed 1868 times

carnival de ovar 1This caption contest is easy– just figure out what it is that is the caption for the book.

No, I don’t have any clue what language that is, and that’s what makes it more fun.

No, I don’t know what culture dresses their children up as books.

Yes, I do think that this child colored the book herself.

Bonus points if you come up with the context for this occasion and can tell me what the boy in the red is thinking about the girl in the blue.

Update– The language on the front of the book is Portuguese, and though there is some discrepancy as to what the translation of the actual words on the book are, come up with your captions regardless of what it really says!

Caption Contest 5 – Tree Hugger

June 16th, 2008 Viewed 2113 times

funny girl I have to admit it– when I first heard that there were those that hugged trees I was young and I had to go try it. OUCH! That really hurt, the bark was anything but comfortable, and there were bugs on trees.

Why is it that this girl is both hugging a tree and smiling? What kind of parent would have her do such a thing?

I’m waiting to hear your best take on why this girl is doing what she’s doing, and how they got her to smile!

Caption Contest 4 – What are You Looking At?

June 9th, 2008 Viewed 1405 times

There’s an interesting side story to today’s photo. I used to work for a guy that had a series of expressions that he used all the time. He could use the phrase “At the end of the day” ten times in a single meeting.

One of the phrases that he said often to our all male team was “Just between us girls,” which was an expression that picked up on the fact that ladies tend to share tidbits between each other… well, you get the idea.

So, you ladies out there have got to have some idea as to what is going through these girls minds.  I mean, there’s the one girl that’s still got her trusty blanket, and the girl in pink is thinking something about the girl in white.

What do you think these girls are thinking?

Caption Contest 3 – To Serve and Protect

June 2nd, 2008 Viewed 1986 times

colorfullFor my birthday, my college buddy got me The A-Team – Season Two. Very rarely does anyone die– I mean, these people must be the worst shots in all of television! It’s a good thing that they flip a car almost every episode, or else it would have been dull.

I’m hoping that this new picture energizes your creative juices.  These guys are characters– who wears a white belt?  Who stands around pointing in the air? Who are the guys on the right, and what does the guy in the red tie know?

Come up with a caption in comments below, voting will begin this weekend.

Caption Contest 2 – Don’t Get Too Close!

May 26th, 2008 Viewed 1955 times

Sweet young girl surveying the pond Something caught young Molly’s attention. She was innocently minding her own business, walking by the pool when she saw something.  Was it the flowers, the serene pool, or something much more heinous?

What music do we queue?  The peaceful spring music, or the Jaws theme?

Only you know, and only you can keep her from getting closer to whatever it is she saw– because I don’t see her parents around, do you?

Take a stab at this latest caption contest by telling us what she’s thinking, what she saw, or what’s lurking behind those flowers or in the water…
