Colorado Springs, CO - A teacher at Wasson High School has been arrested for allegedly having sex with an underage student. Police arrested Gwen Ann Cardozo, 33, and charged her with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. Police say Cardozo was sexually active with a 17-year-old male student. A District Eleven spokesperson says Cardozo was a good teacher. She resigned at the end of March as a result of the police investigation. She was booked in the El Paso County criminal justice center and released on five-thousand dollars bond.
