Chiefland, FL. Chiefland police have charged a teacher's aide at New Hope Charter School with seven counts of sexual battery on suspicion that she had intercourse with a 16-year-old male student at the school on multiple occasions in March and April of this year. Renee Marie Burbach, 32, was arrested on April 29 several hours after a custodian reported to police that she saw Burbach kissing the boy at the school that afternoon after class had been dismissed. Update: In April, Renee Marie Burbach, 33, was sentenced to 10 years of sex offender probation after pleading guilty to two counts of sex acts with a 16-year-old male student at the school.
