I’ve Found A Great Laptop

Dell Mini 9

Ok, so I’m checking around in my e-mail and blogs this morning when I spot this: The Dell Mini 9 Laptop.

At the cheapest setting this laptop is only $349—and that’s with a solid state hard drive, a genuine Intel processor and Ubuntu OS.

You don’t know how terrific of a buy this is for a person that just needs to surf the web.

Finding Help Online

The neat thing about the Internet is that there are many sites to help you out.  Just when you think that you have to “go-it-alone” there’s someone out there that has done it before and that can help.

I’m constantly relying on the Internet to figure out how to do something, how to fix problems, or how to write code for my day job.

Is This Modest?

Ryan

I invite you to come check out the launch of a new website that we’ve started called:

Is This Modest?

The point of this site is to help people answer questions of modesty from both a guy’s and girl’s perspective.

We’ve been commissioned to go forth and preach the Gospel to every creature.  How are we doing on that?

Find a New Theme

Work 1

The Internet is a highly visual place.  That being the case, it’s a good thing for every blog to get a virtual new can of paint at least once a year.

This can mean changing up or decluttering the sidebar, it could mean doing more features or series, or it could mean either finding a good new free template or buying a template from a good designer.

Whoa—Time to Cut Back on the Plugins!

Laptop 3

The other day I was noticing that my blog was running ridiculously slow when I was in the admin panel.  This was with having Google Gears turned on.

There are three things that go toward the speed of your blog—or any computer for that matter.  The number of processors, the amount of memory, and the amount of time across the network.

Since I only deal with broadband Internet, I didn’t think it was that.  Memory seemed ok—and the main site was functional.  That, and other sites I’m running seemed to be downright perky.  So, what was the deal?
