Abortion-Inducing Drugs

In her latest article on the Kavanaugh nomination, Ann Althouse discusses the question about what exactly birth control is supposed to do. Much of the pro-life movement wants to distance itself from the birth control discussion for obvious reasons; however, there is a link.

In the mind of many, abortion is just another form of birth control, only instead of preventing conception, fertilization or implantation, the abortion component of the debate has been limited to discussing the medical procedure needed to remove a baby/fetus from the womb after the pregnancy is discovered.

Baby UltrasoundExpectant mothers may soon be able to view their unborn baby in virtual reality (VR), after the announcement of ground-breaking new scanning technology.

Scientists in Brazil have merged ultrasound images with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to build a 3D model of a baby in the womb, which can be brought to life by using a virtual reality headset.

Research has found that over half of “abortion-minded” women end up keeping their babies after seeing a scan.

How Far Will Obama Go to Protect Planned Parenthood

Concerns are being expressed over a new rule proposed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that suggests that it plans to ban states from defunding abortion providers like Planned Parenthood.

The notice of proposed rulemaking, “Compliance with Title X Requirements by Project Recipients in Selecting Subrecipients,” outlines that it plans to amend the Code of Federal Regulations to read, “No recipient making subawards for the provision of services as part of its Title X project may prohibit an entity from participating for reasons unrelated to its ability to provide services effectively.”

How to Defund Planned Parenthood and Executive Amnesty in 5 Steps

September 19th, 2015 Viewed 1563 times, 2 so far today

It occurred to me that defunding Planned Parenthood and Executive Amnesty could be done by this Congress if they were to follow the following five steps, and therefore if they fail to accomplish these two goals which a majority of the base of the Republican party support it is purely through a lack of will, not of means.

Step 1: Pass the next Budget Bill with no funding for Planned Parenthood and Executive Amnesty.

Pretty straightforward.  Obama will veto. Congress should attempt an override to gauge strength of the override as they should expect the veto.

Step 2: Target Congressmen and Senators up for election next fall with spending for Projects in their state.

Pass another funding bill, this time including money for a project in the state of a Congressman or Senator that is up for reelection next fall, but not having funding for Planned Parenthood or Executive Amnesty.  Obama will veto.  Congress will attempt an override and see what happens with the targeted individual.

Step 3: If Congressman or Senator targeted in Step 2 refuses to join override, take out funding for media in the state that was unable to get funding against the target.

Tell the people of that state how they could have gotten funding for their project, but their elected official thought it was more necessary to have Planned Parenthood and Executive Amnesty funded than money for their state.  Attempt Step 2 again, maybe with a different set than the last time.

Step 4: Enlist the help of the Republican Presidential Candidates.

Use the debates and/or candidates stump speeches in the targeted states to continually drive the point home.

Step 5: Use every interview to stress that you are funding the entire government, and spending more, but the Democrats refuse to sign because of Planned Parenthood and Executive Amnesty.

The point is that you’re willing to spend more money, but the President refuses to back down on two unpopular items.

That’s it, five steps and you get Planned Parenthood and Executive Amnesty defunded.  I’m not saying this is easy, or that the left will not have attacks, but this method will work.  What do you think?

More Videos Coming Out Against Planned Parenthood

Are the videos on Planned Parenthood making an impact?  For those that are already pro-life, the gruesome facts of abortion are part of the reason that they’re pro-life.  The ones that these videos are targeting are the fence-sitting people who are pro-choice.  You know the ones, those that say they are personally against abortion but that they wouldn’t stop someone else from getting one.  These videos are intended to get those people to firmly join the pro-life side and restrict if not eliminate abortion.

When the first video came out, it made quite a splash and it was powerful.  When the second video came out, I thought, “Wow, they made sure to get more than one source” and they had to, since the first thing that Planned Parenthood could say was that this didn’t happen in multiple places– it was just this one doctor.  Now there are rumblings that there are even worse videos waiting in the wings ready to come out.

Will this have an effect on these moderates?

Ethical Dilemmas Surround Going Around God’s Plans

PSU Lunch Carts Wed Feb 15, 2012 131 by Parker KnightIt isn’t very long into reading the historical books of the Bible that we find people trying to go around God’s plans:

  • Eve decides she knows better than God, and chooses to eat the fruit.
  • Adam decides he knows better than God, and chooses to eat the fruit his wife offers him.
  • Cain decides he knows better than God, and offers fruit instead of a lamb.
  • Man in general decides it knows better than God and lives to self, ends up underwater.
  • Man decides not to spread over the Earth—see how well that worked out for them.
  • Sarai decides she knows better than God and offers Hagar to her husband Abram because she hasn’t been able to have children yet.

That last one is interesting, as today we’re still doing much the same thing, only instead of offering handmaids or male servants to the spouse that can’t bear a child, we’re taking donations from males and females and creating children around God’s wishes (as it is He that gives the blessing of children).  Just like the items listed above, this activity also is showing negative consequences.

Rachel Dahl is Having a Baby!

Always an exciting time—babies are blessings indeed!  And what better to do when having a baby, than to support Pro-Life!

I am 19 weeks pregnant today! We just announced our pregnancy on Facebook yesterday, and we had an overwhelmingly positive response despite the political implications (Pro-Life vs Pro-Choice) and controversy surrounding the way we announced it. We also posted the announcement on our health conspiracy blog, which is an appropriate platform for the message we are trying to get out. Scroll below to see the rest of the photos!

Compassion, The Bible and the Pro-Life Movement

pregnant-mom-stress.jpgOver the weekend, Jill Stanek asked a question in her post Stanek weekend Q: How to respond to assertion abortion isn’t in the Bible?:

How do you respond to Knox and others like him who say that since abortion isn’t specifically mentioned in the Bible as a sin, it is not only not a sin but a deed to be supported as an act of faith?

From the beginning of the Bible, children have been called a blessing.  Adam and Eve and Noah and his family were all commanded to be fruitful and multiply.  Barren womb were saddened and begged God for children (when they weren’t giving their handmaidens to their husband in an attempt to get children that way– which God does not command and violates monogamy).  God commanded that someone that attacks a pregnant woman such that a baby dies owes the family for the loss.  The Old Testament writers talked about how God knit them together in their mother’s wombs, and often before birth mothers were told about the greatness of the exploits of their unborn children.

Indeed, when talking about the unborn and about children, God is anything but pro-choice.
