I Don’t Care Who’s To Blame

Things are going horribly wrong for the President. The job numbers for the last month were stagnant. The vacation that he took was constantly criticized for extravagance—and he didn’t even get to stay the entire time because of the hurricane. His new jobs plan which looks a lot like his old jobs plan is dead on arrival. And he still hasn’t gotten the message that this is his economy and he won’t be running against Bush is 2012.

Employment and Salary for Accountants and Auditors
What I find interesting about the Accountant and Auditor career tracks is that because of the recent banking failures these professions that help keep people honest have grown as far as their responsibility and requirements. Most businesses have to have them, and trust them, in order to meet regulations.
What’s interesting is that, during the height of the recession in 2008, there as a lot of demand and accountants and auditors made more. Now, they’re not getting as much:

Lawsuits in the US
Did you ever wonder how much money is actually floating around the United States because of lawsuits? Before reading this infographic I knew there was a lot, but after reading it—wow. Talk about something in need of reform!
Gov. Rick Perry and Prayer

Gov. Rick Perry is coming under a lot of fire, not just because he called for the people of his state to pray, but because he actually led a prayer service within the past week where Scripture was read and he prayed for President Obama.
Of course this has the usual suspects up in arms because under their illogical reading of the Constitution, if a Governor of a State believes in God, holds a service to God and prays for a current sitting President that magically means that all Texans—and thereby all Americans—will be forced, or feel forced, to believe exactly what Gov. Perry does.
Or they’re just doing it because they have nothing better to do with their time.

The Birth Certificate Lives On

You may have thought that the latest offering from the White House on the birth certificate controversy would have put to rest the questions surrounding the location of our President’s birth. You’d be mistaken.
The latest thing that’s come up is that the White House circulated a Certificate of Live Birth that was a forgery as truth—up until the point that it was identified as such.

ObamaCare Funding In Jeopardy if Democrats Choose Tax Increases

I have to say I’m frustrated. I think that I would have preferred if the Republicans had just let the ceiling stand. And I’m not simply talking about the fact that the Dow and S&P are plunging, I’m talking about a matter of principle. We’ve chosen to spend more than we take in, and going further in debt won’t solve that problem.
Government is worse than a kid in a candy store. When times are good, government spends more. When times are bad, government spends more. And even most of the spending cuts that are in this latest law are scheduled to take place later, not now.
How would this work if this were an average family? It wouldn’t.

Have You Ever Tried to Be a Table?

This week is my church’s Vacation Bible School week—and we’re most of the way through it. We’re doing the Answers In Genesis Gold Rush VBS and I’ve liked how the material has been presented. Tonight’s the Gospel message.
In any case, I came upon this image recently, and it reminded me of some of the games that I’ve seen this week.
Have you ever tried to be a table—you and four of your friends?
Is it as easy as these images? I’ll have to give it a try.
Just use the four chairs to start out, and then pull them out afterward. It should work, right?
Let me know if you try it!
