Planned Parenthood debuted a new ad the other day, and I couldn’t believe it. First, take a watch and see what you think.

The Craziness That is Christmas

December 4th, 2018 Viewed 507 times

It’s that time of year again. Time for everyone to try to find something new to talk about because it’s all been said before.

Since most people understand not just the story of baby Jesus, but the idea of Santa Claus, etc. we get new takes on stories like the Grinch, news articles about substitute teachers telling their students that there is no Santa and articles about whether or not Jesus was born in a manger.

And though I haven’t seen many “War on Christmas” articles, we do have a lot of virtual ink spilled on First Lady Melania Trump’s red Christmas trees.

Vice President Has Picture Taken With Q Follower

December 4th, 2018 Viewed 430 times

So this is pretty wild. Vice President Mike Pence was meeting with some services members and a photo was taken of him with someone wearing a Q patch. And this put the MSM into a tizzy such that the photo was replaced by another one and the guy that was wearing it got demoted!

Comey and Mueller: Tied to the Clinton Foundation

December 3rd, 2018 Viewed 462 times

Over the weekend, Andrew McCarthy posted an article entitled Robert Mueller’s Plan. In the article, McCarthy states that the way Muller is running this investigation is like a man who has to file a report, not someone that is bringing someone to trial. Therefore, Mueller can craft all the statements and doesn’t have to worry that all of his witnesses are liars. He just has to pull together a convincing story.

Here’s the part that I found interesting:

That brings us to the “where there’s smoke, there must be fire” talking-point Mueller fans have been trying out: If all these people are lying to cover something up, that something must involve some egregious criminality. That’s ridiculous. We know from our own daily lives that crimes account for only a very small percentage of the things people lie about. Indeed, throughout the 1990s, Democrats insisted that prosecutors should leave Bill Clinton alone because everybody lies about sex. People lie about things that they are embarrassed or ashamed about.

Politics is a seamy business. Pols want to think of themselves as public servants, but they spend lots of time with their hands out, either pleading for money or collecting information that might compromise an opponent. Successful politics requires horse-trading and compromise, so pols are forever explaining how they could actually be against something they voted for. A lot of this is embarrassing stuff. Consequently, when people in and around politics get caught practicing politics, they often lie about what they’ve done.

Politics is not a crime, of course. Consequently, if you criminalize politics — if you turn a prosecutor loose to investigate political campaign activities — you are apt to find unsavory conduct that is not criminal but that some people will lie about.

Andrew McCarthy, Mueller’s Trump Investigation Plan: Report Not a Criminal Case

You’ll want to read the whole thing, but this is the part that struck me– both because it’s true how bad politics and the name “politician” is and for the fact that what was done sounds bad, but is not illegal. Some things that are morally or ethically wrong are not illegal.

Shh! No More About that Whistleblower!

Over the weekend, many posts came from QAnon to the 8chan message boards– compared to the relative silence during the month of November. Things heated up during a broadcast of Hannity on Friday night, when Q seemed to be telling the source of Sara Carter and John Solomon‘s report to not reveal any more because it wasn’t time yet. Wait for Monday.

‘Course they had already said this much:

A Picture Is Worth Many Sentences

November 29th, 2018 Viewed 548 times

Yesterday, President Trump retweeted a tweet from a follower:

This caused no small stir, as even Rod Rosenstein is in this picture. When asked about it, Trump stated that it was fine to include him because he chose Robert Muller to be special counsel.

What’s interesting is that Q seems to have picked up on it today with his latest missive:

The usual statement is that a picture is worth a thousand words, so it didn’t take much for people to infer that “many sentences” could mean that many people will be sentenced for crimes– something many Q watchers have believed would be coming for some time now.

Does the Bible Support Women Political Leaders?

November 20th, 2018 Viewed 526 times

Every election season this questions returns to the forefront with people asking the question in different ways. In 2007, I covered the whole “Can a Woman be President of the United States?” and looking at that post I had quite the discussion in the comments for an introductory post.

The answer was less provocative than the title suggested. The Constitution and Amendments to the Constitution definitely permit the Presidency to be held by a man or a woman that gets the majority of the Electoral College.

Is Dating The Breeding Ground for Fornication?

Lori Alexander has done it again, asking a provocative question to get us thinking. Sometimes I think she chooses her titles based on shock value alone!

In any case, today she asks her readers to consider whether Dating is the Breeding Ground for Fornication.

A good way to get to know someone, or one step away from fornication?

The Problem of the Marriage Checklist

November 14th, 2018 Viewed 441 times

I don’t think that any young man or young woman of marriageable age does not have a checklist. Sure, it may not be one that’s written down on paper or digitally stored in your phone where you evaluate each person that walks by you according to the score, but internally you know what you’re looking for.

How many points of the checklist does this guy have?

It’s said that a woman can tell within minutes, if not quicker, whether or not she’ll be attracted or want to talk to you. I’m sure with a man it’s often faster. We have primary, secondary and even other checklists to get to certain stages.

But are these checklists healthy?

Counting the Cost

Luke 14:1-33

David enjoyed much favor from God, for he was a man after God’s own heart. In 2 Samuel 24 we catch up to David near the end of his life. David numbered the children of Israel, something the kings were told not to do—their victory was to be found in the Lord. Upon doing it, David realized his error, but he was punished anyway, and when he was given the chance to put an end and make a sacrifice he went to the threshing floor of Araunah. Araunah offered to give him the floor and the items for the offering, but David would have none of it. He would not offer an offering to God that cost him nothing.
