What It’s Like When You Lose the Election

0ElxUser mkb95 on Reddit posted this photo of Gov. Mitt Romney at his local gas station claiming that it’s recent and that Romney was moving to La Jolla and was out getting gas.  It’s amazing how much different a person can be in a few weeks!

Reading this account of how the Secret Service left him the night after the election, it really must be surreal:

Of all the indignities involved in losing a presidential race, none is more stark than the sudden emptiness of your entourage. The Secret Service detail guarding Governor Romney since Feb 1. stood down quickly. He had ridden in a 15-car motorcade to the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston for his concession speech. He rode in a single-car motorcade back across the Charles River to Belmont. His son, Tagg, did the driving.

It must feel really strange.
