Saving Money

Saving on Back to School Items

Studying on the Side

Next week, my kids will start back up their schooling.  It’s hard to believe that the oldest will be in 3rd grade!  Whew!

One of the things that I’ve read and I think is really neat is when you have something fun to kick off the school year.  Mary, at Home-Steeped Hope, has a First Day Treasure Hunt that I really like.

But where can you get Savings for your back to school needs?

The answer: Coupons.  Yes, in today’s economy one of the ways that you can make your dollar go further is to make sure that you check for coupons before making your purchases.

One of the best ways to do this is to check out the online sites (like I linked above) and see what deals can be had.  This time of year, all the different stores are trotting out their bargains in hopes that you’ll buy things there—and stick around to buy the other things that you need as well.  So your best bet is to be prepared before going to any store so that you can get the absolutely best price available.

From laptops to crayons, you can find coupons for everything that you’re interested in.  Then you can have the fun of putting together that treasure hunt and watching your homeschooled kid find their supplies, or have an extra set of crayons for the traditional schooled kid’s pencil box.  And that college student that needs a laptop—be sure to shop around for the best price!
