Ever Feel That Your Mind Is Just Slipping Away…

working with laptop 4

Growing old stinks.  No, I mean really:

  • The body that doesn’t perform the way that it used to.
  • The wisdom that you have, but not the energy to do it.
  • The amount of work you have to keep the weight off.
  • What was the other one I had?

Oh yeah, the memory that you begin to lose!

I can remember a time, as a child, where the doctor was impressed at my checkup because I could remember things that my parents couldn’t—like not just all my sibling’s birthdays but how old they are as well.  I can remember being thought of as the human tape machine as my parents had discussions.

Now, I have that dreaded disease that inflicts most adults where they walk into a room and wonder what you came in to get.  Fortunately, most of the time I can then remember!

So, what is there to do about this situation?  I would suggest some form of mind training.  Some people do Sudoku, others like word puzzles.  The point is that you should be doing something to stretch your mind.

The last thing that you want to do is to find that you’ve lost it!

Now, what was I writing about again?

Growing old… hmm, i really am so scared of getting old.. i don’t know why.. maybe because a lot of things happen to you, a lot of things changes mainly the physical aspects as well as the emotional ones. I also do believe that you can prevent doing this by performing different mind trainings that could exercise our brains.

Yup, growing old is a scary thing to be faced off, yet it isn’t the end of the world.
There are a lot of things that can be done to do mind training. Doing puzzle things can be fun for people who really got into the game, yet it will make another depression for those who are not used to do it. Singing, reading, listening to the song, dancing, just do anything that you like to do. Falling in love with yourself, that’s the most important thing in growing old.
