If you’re like me—well, then again you’re probably not anything like me. I mean, when I was just a young thing my mom took me to one of those “learn to swim at the YMCA” things and scared me away from water for life… well, I do take a shower.
So, if you’re not like me, and you like the water and your idea of a fun time is spending time in the waves, chances are you’d love to learn wakeboarding.
For the uninitiated, a wakeboard is like a wide surfboard that you ride behind a boat using a tow line, and you attempt to jump the wake that the boat makes. I’ve done a lot of this on the Wii—and there, while not getting wet, I get the basic idea, and I could see where it would be a lot of fun!
How about you? Could you see yourself being a part of the Orlando Water Sports events? Could you see yourself riding and jumping the waves, one with the water?
I think it could be a lot of fun—to drive the boat—and I think that you could get a lot of fun out of riding the waves, catching the sun, and keeping your balance would be a thrill a minute.
Do you want to learn to wakeboard?
Aren’t there also people riding wakeboards using a para shoot like kite? Or is this called differently?
