About a year ago my watch died. It was a watch that I had received as a Christmas present back when I was in college. A Timex Indiglo watch, that watch and I had seen many things together, so you can imagine that I was hoping that the last time that it stopped working it was only the battery.
Unfortunately, even a change of battery did not keep my watch working, and eventually I needed a new one.
My brother purchased a binary watch for me for my birthday a couple years back, and that has been a fun novelty and I like it, but I found that it was difficult to preach sermons with it, since I had to push a button to see the time.
That’s when I told my wife that for this Christmas I wanted to get a new watch—and I’d like an analog one.
The problem was that there are so many to choose from! Brand name watches like Seiko, Citizen, Bulova Casio, or Timex like my old one. It’s hard to choose—we ended up looking in the mall at a stand for ideas.
My father says that no one uses watches any more—choosing to use cell phones to keep their time. What do you use? From where did you purchase your last watch?
