When is the last time that you took a vacation.  I know, in this economy more people are prone to take stay-cations rather than vacations, but there is an importance in finding time to get away from the mundane everyday life and finding time to bond with your family.

To me, the worst part of a vacation isn’t really the driving as much as it is trying to find a good place to stay—and by good I also mean affordable.  Nowadays I tend to try to find some family or friends on the trip to where I’m going, but it always feels like I’m imposing when I do.

What has been nice is the times that we’ve planned a place to stay in advance.  Like when we went on our honeymoon, we purchased a great cabin in the Smokey Mountains.  One trip to see my relatives in Branson we were able to stay in a time share, and that was a nice experience.

When you’ve gone on vacation, have you ever experienced a vacation rental?  I know that they have a lot of good locations like Fort Lauderdale for vacation rentals.  The great part about finding a place like this is that you can enjoy the place where you’re staying—just make sure you’ve saved your money, some of these places can get a tad expensive.

I mean, you can find some great things even at Lauderdale-by-the-sea, but you have to realize that the location is going to make the price.  But seriously, on your next location you should at least look into this as an option—especially if you want to spend some time as down time and not just seeing sites.
