AdWords is the other side of AdSense. Advertisers buy keywords on AdWords that are displayed on publisher sites that show AdSense units. The question is, do these things really work?
Google is offering me $50 to find out. They’ve given me a coupon code and the chance to create an ad, but how do I find out what ad I should use?
What I need is some kind of PPC Conversion Tracking site that would help me see what keywords are good for my site, and what words would get me the best traffic.
I use Google Analytics on my site to tell me about who comes, how long they stay, and what words brought them here, but it doesn’t really help me find optimum set of words for an ad.
So, I may just have to do some research in the coming days to see just what kind of keywords are good for Pay-Per-Click ad formats, and see if we can get ourselves some new readers!
Best way to do it is to do some trial and error until you get the hang of it. There’s plenty of tools to help you along, but you have to keep at it until you find the right mix where you’re making more than you spend. And then you expand on that.
