I’m not really good at planning vacations. Most of the time off I’ve had I’ve used for when the kids get sick or something has come up. And then we decided we were going to get out of debt, so there was no time or money to even consider going anywhere on vacation.
Yes, we did go on a camping trip, but not very far away.
One of the biggest vacations I can remember taking—besides the ones to my relatives that are many states away—was to Disney World. I know that almost every family has some memories of being taken to Disney World or Disney Land, and there are always memories that you’ll have for a lifetime from there because the lifestyle is so different!
And when I was growing up there was only the main theme park, and Epcot—or at least that’s the only two we visited. Now they even have Disney Waterparks!
I can just imagine what’s there—I wonder if they really have you walk the plank to get dunked? Do you think the Typhoon Lagoon or the Blizzard Beach sounds better?
To me the last one seems cold!
There is a great site for getting great deals to these parks—Orland Fun Tickets has Disney Waterparks and others—and you can bet with the current economy there are some good deals to be had.
What I find interesting about Orlando Fun Tickets is that they even have things for us who don’t necessarily like the water. The have listed a whole bunch of dinner shows—from Medieval Times to Arabian Nights. And they have discount tickets or everything from the Kennedy Space Center to Sea World.
And they are a legitimate distributor of Disney tickets—you don’t need to worry that you are getting ripped off. You can purchase your tickets, plan your trip, make your budget, and keep to it! They will also send you an e-mail newsletter that will send you deals to your inbox.
There’s every reason to take a break—for your sanity, for a change of pace, and for a chance to do things as a family. So plan that vacation today—your family will thank you for it!
I love natural parks, so my next trip will include stops at Big Bend National Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Carlsbad Caverns National Park. I have posted photos from my previous trips to national parks.

I mean, it’s a time to relax and have fun – And that includes the planning part.
