Let Your Light So Shine

Hope

Tonight we were unpacking the garage.  Well, kinda unpacking.  I just finished getting the garage in the old house almost cleaned out, and there are a whole bunch of card board boxes in the garage, and since it was warm we decided to do some organizing.  Anyway, I decided to check the fluids in my car to see if I needed some more coolant—I thought I was running low.

Did you ever go to work on the inside of a car and find that you can’t see inside it?  That’s what happened to me.

So, I went back inside to get my Maglite flashlight to see if I could tell the fluid levels.  The important thing to know is that when you have light you can see, when you don’t things are hidden.

How many things in your life can be seen?  How many things are hidden?  It is possible that you’re hiding something that it would take one of those high intensity discharge lights in order to be able to see it?

And in the reverse, how well do you shine?  Can people see your testimony, or do you blend in with the crowd?

The fluid levels in my car were actually ok, though I topped them off.  Without the light I may have never been able to tell.  Is it time to have God shine a light on your heart and expose what’s there so that you can deal with it and get closer to Him?

Funny you should mention this. I’ve been planning to clear the air on a few things I did in the past. But I keep procrastinating. Used to think there’ll be a lot of time to set right the wrongs committed in the exuberance of youth. But now, I think time’s running out, and I’m stuck in the rat race, with no end in sight.
