It’s In The Pictures

My Girl

Almost every post that I’ve done for the last year has had a photo attached to it.  As one of the Quick Reviewer at Is This Modest?, part of my job is to look through images and judge whether they’re modest.

Photography conveys emotion.  It conveys feeling.  It’s an art-form.

A good photographer can make the subject of their image come alive.  They can work magic with Photoshop to make you look your best.

And the neat thing is that with the proliferations of digital cameras and photo sharing sites, there have been many photography blogs that have come along side to help us figure out how to take photos and what to do with them after we’ve taken them.

I’m no pro at these things, so I can certainly use a lot of ideas and advice.  I don’t know about you, but until I started reading different blogs and looking at different photos I never knew how creative you could get with these things.

Especially when it comes to wedding photography.  I now know some standard shots and some pretty creative shots while working on the series I wrote about weddings and modesty.

It’s amazing what a good photographer can do—and what getting good advice and reading good material can do for the average amateur photographer.
