Wrapping Up VBS

Tire swing kids

What a week this has been.  Tonight is the final night of our Vacation Bible School.

There are weeks where everything goes right, and then there are weeks that everything goes wrong.  This is more of the latter.  If I began to try to sit down and detail everything that’s not gone as expected, I could write a week’s worth of blog posts on that topic alone.

Suffice it to say that I will be glad to see Sunday.

In the meantime, I’ve been rather silent here, but I have actually been active in some other places:

Around the Horn

Twitter

Are you following me on Twitter?  I know that some of you see my updates on my sidebar, but you’re really missing the interaction if you aren’t on and following.  I’m having quite the conversation on there.

Stumble

Are you one of my friends in StumbleUpon?  I’ve been updating my blog, and going the extra mile in my reviews.  I’ve actually toyed with the idea of writing only original content here and using my stumble blog to keep track of my comments on other sites.  It would be a break from the link format, but I think that we’ve had the most engaging discussions here when I’ve been original.

Plus, the side benefit is that those of you that I visit that have interesting content have the possibility of seeing that shared with every one of my stumble friends…

VeggieTales

In case you already don’t know, I’m giving away the latest VeggieTales episode on VeggieTales Review!  That’s right, you can get Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry for free—but you have to act soon.

Fiction

About the only blog that has had regular posting is my fiction blog.  The story is progressing along nicely—but that’s only because I wrote it back in the 90s.

Looking Forward

I actually have an idea for a new series based on one of the most fabled sections of Proverbs.  No, not Proverbs 31—but you’ll just have to wait to see it.

I also want to discuss some ideas that surround church and how we do church, and take another look at the culture.  Somewhere in there we’ll discuss what’s going on in politics.

Lots to say, lots to do, and I’m not even ready to get back on schedule—whew!
