How Do You Find Good Hosting
I’m really blessed. One of my college friends spent some time working for a hosting company so when the time came to move this blog off of Bravenet I had someone to ask about hosting and where we should go.
How do you go about finding good hosting? Well, there’s a number of things to look at:
- Testimonials from existing customers
- Bad Customers Sharing the Same Server
- Long Term Benefits
I would add…
- What’s the support like?
- Do they have forums?
There are many blogs out there with web hosting articles. You’ll want to take your time and do some comparison shopping. You’ll need to assess your needs, and make sure that you allow a little room for growth.
Part of the problem with finding hosting is that what is cheap is, most of the time, what is not something you want. Also, check the e-mail accounts. Make sure there are no spammers on the accounts with you. It can be really annoying sending out e-mails and not having anyone reply because they’d been treated as spam.
