Build it Yourself

My Computer

The next time that you find yourself in need of a new computer, before you pick up that phone and call Dell or HP, take a few minutes to consider the amount of money you’d save building it yourself.

Sound crazy?  Believe it or not, assembling a computer is a lot easier than you might think.  The only tool that you’ll need is a screwdriver, and depending on what you’re looking for as far as specs, you’ll beat even Dell’s outlet price!

The savings is in the labor—having people put all the components in the box and hook them up for you is where the company makes their money.  If you shop around and buy the parts, and build it yourself you can save hundreds of dollars.

What’s that you say?  Don’t know where to start?  Well, the neat thing about that is that there are kits that you can buy that give you step by step instructions of what to do.  They can show you exactly where to put each one of the computer parts.  And there are even kits to help you upgrade your computer as well.

Why spend money for someone to build something you could build yourself?  Make it an adventure!
