Contact Lenses and Dry Eyes
I could never wear a contact lens—at least I don’t think I could. Sometime when I was a child I was helping my mother pump gas into our car (this was back when gas was 97 cents a gallon) and some accidentally splashed back up and got me in the eye.
From then on I cannot tolerate anything in my eyes! Whew!
My wife, however, wore contacts from the day I married her up until after this past pregnancy.
At that point she was told that her eyes were too dry for contacts, and she goes back today to see if some eye drops she was given have made any difference.
I’m not sure if something like the acuvue oasys contacts could actually help her. They claim to help keep eyes moist and they actually are tinted. How that works for someone whose eyes are dry I don’t know.
The neat thing though is that you can get these lenses from 1-800-GET-LENS for $16.49 a box after rebate, so it may be something that all of you contact lens wearers out there want to check out.

Yup some people may find this weird but I would love it if my eyes were green because I find it unique and interesting.
