So, this past week, I took the chance to sign up for Cool Savings– the ad at your right.  It’s a free signup and it promises to send you coupons via e-mail and to show you deals on their website.

The good side:

It does have a wide variety of coupons that span many different types of merchandise.  Something I didn’t expect was all of the deals on magazines and the sign ups to win prizes.  Though I don’t doubt these things, I’m a little leery of signing up for more of these types of things after going crazy with cashing in airline miles for magazines.

The bad side:

Most of the items weren’t something that I was purchasing anyway.  And we’re not talking just name-brands vs. non name-brands.  It’s different for different markets, I’m sure, but there really wasn’t that much I thought I could use.
