Because You Can’t See in the Dark…

Hope One of the things I miss about my old Saturn 2 door is that I could turn the car off and leave the headlights on.  This comes in really handy when you’re out camping– like I was this one time with my brother and some friends– and after driving out near this pond we left the lights on to figure out how to set up the tent.

Now, with my big Grand Caravan, the lights stay on only for a little while, before the vehicle nicely turns them off for me, so I don’t waste my battery.  What I need is to try a golight from Magna Light and see if that would do the trick.

One of the neat things about this light is that it’s remote controlled and it has a magnetic base.  So, you can mount it to your car (just like the headlight in my above example) and use your remote control to shine it at different places without having to go back to the car.  The old way saw me burning more gasoline to move the car.  You can also turn it off without going back to the car.

Now that my kids are a little older, and my wife likes to camp, I could see a good reason to look into buying one of these, for its usefulness in camping, and other jobs that are outside at night.  What about you?  What do you use?
