Finally an area where we agree MIn. (by the way check my reply on demon possession) Not only is more ethical, but living with a woman without marring her is an abomination. More than that, Paul said that God has given us genital organs so that we could reproduce ourselves, and that any sexual act whose objective is not reproduction is unacceptable to God. Even more, in his letter to the Corinthians Paul said that it would be better for one to marry than stay in heat.

All AdSense ads now show to search engine visitors or those that are not regular readers or who are not logged in. (Except for the single post banner which will take a little more work to rework. By regular reader you must have visited 5 pages on this site in the past 10 days. If you see a ad that offends you, please tell me the internet address (http://.....) of the site. I can then take steps to make sure that ad does not show. As I tried to point out on a recent post I don't have much control over the ads.

And onto your regular comment-- the presence of a backup plan usually means that you have a plan for failure. Let's just say that if your plan for failure is to make sure you are set then you're going in with a selfish attitude and looking for a reason to exercise the plan.

An appropriate plan would probably be something in regards to getting counseling before problems get too bad, keeping short accounts with your spouse, and realizing that the vow-- the promise-- that you made was to only let death part you. If you weren't serious, you had no business making the promise.

Min,
You REALLY MUST do something about these ads --"Find a Filipina Beauty/Browse Photos Now", "Over Forty/Spice Up Your Marriage", "DivorceQ7A's", "10 Secrets To Get A Man Addicted To You For Life", "Why Women Divorce". COME ON -- this is NOT the type of advertising people who read your blog want or need to see. It takes away from the message and I truly think you are going down a very slippery slope to hell with this nonsense.

I started reading your blog for the good, clean content, not to have to subject myself to more of the garbage that is being slung at all of us from all directions and other media outlets. Do you really need the money that badly, that you are willing to compromise your values and soul? PLEASE,PLEASE get rid of these stupid ads, once and for all.

I do agree that marriage is a "commitment" and that both parties make a "pledge", but way too often, they are both ignored and hence the need for a "back-up plan".

I'm not necessarily saying either. What I am saying is that there needs to be vows of commitment to one another-- the whole two become one thing. It can be done at the justice of the peace or before hundreds of witnesses. What matters is that two people are entering into a relationship that is sealed and exclusive. Does that make sense?

Hey min, after discussing it with others I realized that we seem to be discussing two different issues. When you say marriage are you speaking about just going down to the court house and signing the paper work or are you speaking about the wedding ceremony (no matter how small) in front of the chaplain professing your vows to the whole world.

I think home ownership is something to be expected from a marriage and not normally from cohabitation although it happens there to with legal paperwork.

I have actually read on the blogs people staying together because of the foreclosure issues.
