Do you acknowledge God in all your ways? I know that we often ask-beg-plead with God to direct our paths (especially when it comes to a big decision), but do we do what’s necessary to fulfill the promise of His direction?
That’s the question that comes to mind as I read Rebecca’s post talking about acknowledging God with what we wear. It’s a good question that we should be asking ourselves every day as we seek to serve Him.
Speaking of clothing, Shauna over at Modestly Yours talks about the interesting response she got from a cousin who visited her recently. In a touching moment of modesty, Shauna’s cousin commented that wearing skirts and a high collared shirt was more liberating:
She suddenly said, “I love skirts! I feel so much more free in them than pants! I feel so much less self conscious! It’s so much easier to concentrate when you aren’t worrying about how everyone is judging your body in your clothing.”
Which leads us to Natalie who uses a very common song to ask an uncommon question. Upon whom is your hope built?
And following that question, Mary talks about how God sees us:
Our sin has been dealt with. God, our Father, has removed it from us who believe, through His Son’s work on the cross. Psalm 103:12 says that He’s removed it from us, “as far as the east is from the west”. 1 Corinthians 6:11 says, “Your sins have been washed away.”
But she doesn’t leave it there– she talks about how important it is to confess our sins to God to get right. Jesus covered our sins, and He loves us, but He still wants a relationship with us.
Turning to things of love, Claudia lists 5 Things that your Husband wants You to Know (but might not know how to tell you) and Scott gives guys great tips for guys about what to do for their wives for Valentines Day. He says that what our wives really want is a handmade card with lots of words. The comments are a great read, and I even chime in with a joke!

Shauna’s post reminds me that my friend who’s ministry is to Muslims says they consider their style of dress to be liberating. It’s an interesting thought.Have a great weekend!
