I'm beginning to wonder how much our feelings of detachment from God (or that God is distant) is a result of our own decisions to try to do more and more without Him. I really don't miss it! And if I get stranded somewhere, chances are pretty good that whoever stops will have a cell I can use! Besides, God is better than a cell phone. He really has brought me instant help via prayer when stranded on the roadside...I prayed and immediately a cop was there to help. And this on a lonely country highway!
