That's quotable...and I just might quote you on it. Very thought provoking. And goes along with why God has to shake up our lives a bit to get our attention...

Hm....

Cell phones do effect our feeling of independence from God, that much is certain. I'm beginning to wonder how much our feelings of detachment from God (or that God is distant) is a result of our own decisions to try to do more and more without Him.

You know, we had a bag phone WA-AY back when cell phones first became available...long ago...and about 8 or more years ago we decided it wasn't a necessary monthly expenditure any more. I really don't miss it!

And if I get stranded somewhere, chances are pretty good that whoever stops will have a cell I can use!

Besides, God is better than a cell phone. He really has brought me instant help via prayer when stranded on the roadside...I prayed and immediately a cop was there to help. And this on a lonely country highway!
