Have You Tried the New Yahoo Search?

If you have, the above screen should not be new to you.  Yahoo has upped the ante by providing you with more information each and every time you search– as you type in your keywords!

Here’s how it works:

  • As you type in the words that you’re interested in searching on, Yahoo provides you with a drop down of keywords that are related to the ones that you are typing.
  • You can then choose to use your own words, or select one of the sets that has been recommended.
  • You also have the chance to Explore Concepts– where the real interesting part of this new interface comes to bear.

Explore concepts takes your search words and takes it to the next level, by showing you related topics– like in the above example where “ie 6″ showed up when that wasn’t even something shown in the keyword match.

True, it’s not revolutionary– and the keyword matching part is available through the Google Firefox plugin– but it takes zeroing in on the content that you’re interested in to a new level.

Try it out, and let me know what you think!
