As a mama who has buried two babies, I had that initial urge to just wrap my arms around my little girl and never let the world touch her. However, I know that that would just make us both miserable, as she needs room to grow and be her own person. It is just that big step though, to know that we can't keep them safe all the time. The best that we can do is raise our children up in the Lord, and to have faith that should the worst happen- they will be waiting for us at HOME. So, yes, people will do desparate things because they think it gives them the illusion of safety. I'm so grateful for the peace that God gives, because a person could be a walking panic attack at all the potential for evil this world has in store for us and our loved ones.
