Ooh, I love that Isaiah passage...the love of God in it brings tears to my eyes...

And the thought that came to my mind on your quote by Piper, is what if God hadn't hardened the hearts of the Jews? With their acceptance would Jesus have established His kingdom on earth right then and there, with no need to die? I know, what if's are futile, but I'm so glad from a Gentile's perspective, that God's plan included the welfare of everyone that believes. He keeps His covenant, but we have the free will choice whether or not to follow the nudging of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks, Ann, for sharing this.

I truly do not believe that any believer can fully grasp the grace God has bestowed upon us. The sacrificial love, the forgivness of our sins is almost incomprehensible to me. And yet, He still loves us, even with all of our faults, He loves us. There is no way to grasp it mentally, but we can, most assuredly, grasp it into our hearts and allow it to grow. God's love is boundless and so should our hearts be continually reaching for Him.
