Definitely-- God can use any of us, it's never too late. Our screw ups can limit our future usefulness. We see that in David's life too. His mistakes had a great impact on his family and nation.

This is a great teaching for today's culture...so many want God's will but when push comes to shove we aren't willing to count the cost. Our fast food culture wants a quick fix.
I've always liked how God used people who felt inadequate (Moses and Gideon for instance) to do the job God had for them...what is that verse...'He uses the simple to confound the wise'(something like that). Even David was just a boy who knew God's strength was enough to face Goliath. And David went full circle in his lifetime, yet for all his mess-ups, he's still referenced as a man after God's own heart.
